ESAR will be hosting a helicopter training on November 7, 2009 at Thun field (3 miles north of Course 1.)

Jeff Sharp will be teaching the class, which will cover the Basic and Intermediate levels of helicopter certification. We've scheduled a Coast Guard helo to come, so we will also get a chance to practice loading the stokes into the helicopter with engines running.

It is vital that our unit is prepared, and this class will teach the fundamentals of helicopter operations.

You must be at least a CBM to attend. For those interested, bring a 1/2 length or 3/4 length helmet or hardhat, ear and eye protection, gloves, and raingear. If you do not have the necessary gear, it will be provided for you.
